Then there's the artificial enemy placement around various parts of the map, which enforces the idea that the city is just a video game level that adheres to typical video game rules. It's what the game revolves around, but it's also the primary reason why the city doesn't really feel like it's a real place.

While I agree that Watch Dogs has pretty detailed maps and interesting NPC behavior, the illusion is broken by the whole hacking thing. GTA 5 Los Santos is pretty small and the rest of the map is just an empty space really.

Meanwhile GTA 5 NPCs mostly just walk around and that's it. Thanks to that the city actually feels alive. Just now I have seen NPCs play badminton or kick football. When I think I've already seen eveeything, I still discover something new. Not to mention that NPCs do hundreds of different activities. There are also many more enterable interiors. In WD games there is much, MUCH more variety throughout the map than in GTA games, I'm serious. Every district looks different and has it's own unique features and landmarks. Maybe it's because of how packed and detailed the cities are and how different parts of the cities vary from each other.

I don't know how Ubisoft did it but both Watch Dogs maps feel bigger than GTA V map for me Watch Dogs 2 is due out in November on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.If this was the old days I would've said for certain that Watch_Dogs 2's San Francisco map would've been ripped and ported to GTAV as an unofficial San Fierro map north of Los Santos, it's that good and it's just about the same size. Having a more lighthearted, fun story, analogous to how Assassin’s Creed II did it, could definitely make Watch Dogs 2 a far more likable game than its predecessor was. This is definitely good- one of the big problems that people had with the original game was just how drab its story was, with an unlikeable protagonist in its midst. So they’re doing it with purpose because they’re hacktivist, but they’re having a lot of fun at the same time doing it,” he said. He’s part of a group called DedSec where you have your buddies with you and you’re doing operations and you use a lot of the culture, the fun. In Watch Dogs 2 it’s a colorful story and Markus all the way is very charismatic, but he’s also sociable. “Watch Dogs one was a darker story and Aiden was a lone wolf. “ roughly twice as big,” Belanger said, before also noting that the new game would have a far more lighthearted, fun story than the original game did. On the whole, early impressions for Watch Dogs 2 are positive- and that may be for good reason. GamingBolt recently had a chance to sit down with Danny Belanger, Watch Dog 2‘s Game Director, and according to what we heard from him, it also sounds as though Ubisoft are fixing some of the biggest problems people had with the original game- which should hopefully make the sequel a far better game. Watch Dogs 2 was widely expected, and for a lot of people, this game is the series’ chance to have its own Assassin’s Creed II moment- by following up on a disappointing sequel that held a lot of promise with a far more fun sequel that makes good on the promise of the original.
